Went Sentosa with Emily and her church friends. One word: Woohoo! / Sunday, July 15, 2007
Today's Sunday. Woke at 8am to get ready to meet Emily's friends at Harbourfront. Didn't meet Emily cos she's one of the organisers of the activities so she's already at Sentosa. Met Sock Hwee and the others. The grp split up and I went with Sock Hwee n Xiao Ying to buy water and food. Kept laughing at them cos they kept arguing. Lol! Sock Hwee was saying she and Xiao Ying got 'generation gap'. Haha! She's only 20 lah but Sock Hwee always kachiao her haha

Breadtalk was having a sale, so everything was going for $1. Bought 7 bread in total with Sock. 5 of which is hers. She finished all 5 even b4 we boarded the line into Sentosa. Lol. Met the rest in front the ticketing counter. Bought our tix and then boarded the train. Sock and I chatted about sch stuff and friendship problems. She also gave me a chocolate bar. That was very sweet of her :)
We waited for the "pram" to go to the Palawan beach. Walked quite a long way to the place where Emily and the rest were. Em and the rest were under a shelter. We sat around and chatted for a while before the some other of their friends came and we started the games.
First up was Dog and Bone. On the beach. It was quite tough fo me to walk on sand, not to say run as fast as u can. Haha. My team was made up of Emily, Sock Hwee, a pair of twins and me. I was slow at running lah, so i never once got the ball over to my line Lol. The sand was starting to become hot to step on as the afternoon came. Our team lost at last, so we had to do a forfeit. The organisers came up with lots of interesting (and scary) forfeits. Some of them were, running along the bridge to the island and shouting sth, eating Eno (the white powder which i dunno how it tasted like b4), muah chee(omgosh, this is scary. i found out later it involves getting wet and then having smn roll u on sand. Yikes!!)
At last our team did the running over the bridge one. Well, we couldn't run cos the bridge was so packed with ppl. Moreover, it kept sawying i was afraid i would get seasick. Lol. We reached the island and climbed the stairs to the top of one tower. We had to shout "Welcome to Singapore". haha. We decided to kahchiao the rest on the beach. (Shoosh, charlotte and the rest are so going to be like what de! if they see this lol) OK, we mouthed the words w/o shouting it. Haha. We mouthed it 2 times tgt. And then went back. Back on the beach the rest were complaining they couldn't hear a thing. Lol!
We played frisbie next. It works sth like rugby. Get it to yr scoring side and touch down. I wasn't very good at this also. =='' I'm so not a sports person! Arh! One thing i can rmb of this game was the hot hot sand we were stepping on. Ouch!
Next up was strategy game. Two teams stand on one side. A person has to fetch another person and a watermelon over to the other side. The tricky part is, in the area where u cross, only 2 legs and/or must be touching the ground. After everyone is transported over to the other side, the team must find a way to break the watermelon and finish it. During a trial, Sock Hwee tried carrying me. I was like struggling to hold on to the watermelon. I couldn't take it, so i let go and the watermelon smashed to the ground.
De~ it broke. LOL the split part was covered with sand. Ugh. Was so pai seh for breaking the watermelon even b4 the game started. Haha! Now we know a way to break the watermelon. wahaha..
And so the games began. The guy carried his twin over first, then it was me and Sock Hwee. Lucky i didn't drop the watermelon again. We let the other team use the split-up watermelon, cos sand has gone into it. wAhaHA how wicked of us. When everyone was there, i took a plastic bag frm my trousers and put the wmelon inside. We smahed it hard to the ground and began gobbling it down like crazy. Oh my gosh. It was hilarious and crazy! Our hands had sand and all, and we were like peeling the flesh with our hands and eating so quickly!! We were complaining we ate sand and our hands were covered with watermelon juice!! Ahaha! It was so reality show style! If u asked me, i would say this was the most memorable activity for that day.
Next up was Counterstrike. Yeah.. the name was enough to freak me out. I was wondering whether we'll be using poles or sth to bash the other team up. Lol. Actually, we would be using water bombs. Whewh.. not poles. We went to the water to fill up the plastic bags. We were to have the defenders defend our 4 bamboo poles, while the attackers go to the other team's area to snatch their poles. Anyone wo gets hit by a bomb must leave the battlegrnd and do 5 star jumps.
Man, when the game started, it was like war. The attackers of the other team chiong and destroyed much of our water bombs. I was busy throwing water bombs at them. Missed a lot =='' ahaha. Many ppl on both teams kena bomb and had to get out and starjump. At the end of everthing, both teams drew. To find out the winning team, we did football penalty kick. The guys were really good at scoring and saving the ball. Wow. So cool lor.. I managed to get one thru but it wasn't counted, cos the goalkeeper was taking picture or sth. Lol. Our team lost at last. haha.. time for the penalties...
The winning team suggested muah chee, and i was like omg. I brought extra clothings, but i didnt't bring the inside. haha! too bad for the winning team. At last we did Eno. It's this bottle of orangy powder that fizzes up yr mouth. We had to take this with water in our mouth and do 10 starjumps. Henry did a demo and he was like spitting foam. ahaha! it looked scary! the trick is not to put too much water or it will foam like mad. our team stood in one line and did the forfeit. The fizz was orange flavoured. It really like fizzes up very quick and i had to shut my mouth tight to prevent myself from spitting out foam. Our mouths were puffed up after a few seconds Lol. Whew.. after the 10 starjumps, we spitted it out. Interesting forfeit haha.
It was time to pack up. Counterstrike was the last activity. Some of us went to bathe first while some stayed to play soccer. Sock Hwee, Huiying and i took some before and after photos in the toilet. Mmm.. i like the sentosa toilet. Very new and quite clean. Plus it doesn't stink. :)
The whole grp walked to the sentosa station and took the train back to Vivo. We had our dinner at food republic. I ate hokkien mee like many of the rest. At the store, we mass ordered, so when the food came, we were all in a rush cos there was a long queue behind us. It was chaotic. Haha! i rmbed i got chilli on the little boy's hand (oops i forgot his name, he's with us), then he was like thanks a lot. ahaha.
The whole grp sat in a row at the long table. Though it was a little squeezy, but it felt cosy and like a family ^^ Joanna helped us take some pics.

The group bought Joanna a Ben and Jerry's ice cream with a b'day candle. So sweet...

Emily and i agreed to do Pacc tutes tgt. So some of us went to Coffeebean cafe to sit talk and do h.w, while some went home. The rest of the grp sat at the couch to chat, while me, Em and Huiying sat another table to study. While we were studying, Emily and Ziliang, a senior, kept arguing. Lol. Make me laugh only.
The grp left after about 1.5 hrs. Yawn.. was tired but we kept on doing. Em and I chatted bout religious things, and i was enlightened by some things that she said. We did our h.w till about 10 plus then left vivo. Most of the shops were closed already.
So tired. But i truly enjoyed myself today. What a way to spend my weekend. At first i thought going to Sentosa means playing with water, playing volleyball, chatting and suntanning. But there're actually so many other things u can do on the beach. Thanks guys, for planning this outing and letting me be part of it ^^
Whoever can read till here w/o stopping or falling asleep, i commend u for yr patience and resilience :P

I am more analytical and critical about things, and likes to study about dead people, haha. lol. it's history what can you expect and also geography, it amazes me. I really like it alot, so what have you? Again to find this answer

it's amazing. amzing how people change the way of things, like how I used to hate outdoors in Band
felt it was a complete waste of time, i've acquired to like it more, i guess people change, their thereotical means and applications in life just goes on into a new direction, and see things in another perspective, i guess- it's
all in the mind. It really amazes me how these comes into action, from someone so pessimistic has changed his own view of things, and thus my friend is scoring much better, being more optimisitc and not think of his old way of suicidal
thoughts, which are pretty daunting. and thus we need to see things, in another light, another perspective and another new way, to enable us to open up our minds, and make more new things, the new way it is.
