SPG Camp was fun! (17-18 May 08) / Friday, June 20, 2008
Had SPG camp on 17 May 08
Didn't bring much stuff, no sleeping bag also cos i don't plan to sleep. This yrs SPG camp is combined with SPSE, strings ensemble. So as helpers/ station masters, me, joniece, margaret, ting yun, ridhwan, maggie and jobu (newcomer) had to go over to SPSE room for briefings very often.
Vick was the games master, so he briefed us on the games. Each game had about 2 station master and there were like 15 games total. I paired with Margaret in a game called Charade. It's held at the Amphitheatre at Moberly, where SPG always performed. The game goes like this, we had a cards of characters or actions or things. 2 ppl are supposed to come up to the stage at one time, one person in front and the other person right behind the first. The card is shown to the person at the back and he has to control the person at the front to act out what he saw in the card. The rest of the team have to guess the answer. Sounds fun.
At the Amphitheatre, there were like 4 other camp activities going on, and ppl were using the stage, so Marg and i sat at the audience stands to wait. We waited for like 1.5 hours! I'm about to go crazy! lol. We just sat there and stare at space for 1.5 hours. Then after that, when the other ccas start to vacate the stage, we sat at the front there to slack. Quite shiok lah, sit there doing nothin. Some pics of us and our survival kit.

Funny!
After a while got ppl from SPCO (chinese orchestra) came and used the stage behind us to play some balloon game. See them play very scary and hiong, cos they have to tie a balloon to their legs and burst each other's balloons. Throughout the whole time at our stations, only 3 teams came to us. Quite funny lah, see them act, especially the "The toilet's over there" and Mr Bean one.
After all the games shift at around 6.30pm, Marg and i sat at stairs facing the football field to sing while waiting for Joniece and Ting yun to meet us and walk back to clubhse tgt.
Dinnertime. Team leaders mingled with freshies and shouted cheers. Dinner was packed food, quite nice. After dinner, Li asked me to perform guitar for freshies with Shafiq, Ridhwan and Swee lin. omg stress can. But is perform old song Sway, so not so bad. The solos were solos were cool! Shafiq performed a chinese song, his fingers are crazy! Then Swee lin performed drum solo Very loud but nice. Halfway they damn kachaio lah, play the buddhist prayer song. Lol.
It's around 8pm now. Joniece and the rest are at the spse room having briefing for the night walk. Im so lost, dunno where to go, cos im also in the nightwalk. When i came out of spg clubhse, the nightwalk patrollers all outside ready to go find their patrol area. The freshies haven't set out yet.
This time the nightwalk explored places that i've never been to in SP. So interesting. There're scarers stationed at a tunnel between a certain workshop 2 and 3. Heard lots of rumours bout that tunnel. I also heard got one time Swee lin and Li walk thru the tunnel in daylight, then one of them freak out first, at last both of them freak out and ran out of the tunnel! Damn funny lah! But the tunnel sure looks scary in the night. There are many exit signs hanging at the ceiling in a whole row, so gives the illusion that the tunnel is never ending.
After checking out the patrol places, we went back to watch the freshies play captain's ball. We sat and sang while Ridhwan played the guitar. That guy is really talented. It's about 11-12am already. The night walk starts at around 1am and finishes 4am. omg no need to sleep liao. Before the night walk officially started, we had final briefing. The props:

At the workshop tunnel, we 6 decided to try out the scary tunnel so the scarers got ready to scare us. I walked with Marg and was hugging her arms so tight, cos i seriously hate that kind of in-your-face shock! Lol. The trip was quite scary lah, but not very bad. It was very dark in there, and the never-ending exit signs were quite scary. We were walking right in the middle of the track cos we scared ppl will come out from the sides to scare us.
At our stations, ZJ and i sat down and talk cos there was nothing much to do. Sat at a bus stop near admin blk and talk until very sleepy haha. We were sitting near the scary tunnel, so we can hear the screams when the freshmen go thru the scary walk. Quite fun lah *oops didnt mean to sound sadistic.
After most of the teams have gone thru, something cropped up and we found out that SPG's own freshmen wont be going thru the SPSE's nightwalk. We had to do another night walk. Was freakin bored out and sleepy. The whole thing ended at 5am. We bathed and slpt at 7am in zj's lab. Super uncomfortable sia. Should have brought slpg bag sia. I think i braindead already, blur blur left my bag at another building at the freshies room. Halfway in the 'morning', i had to ask Jo to accompany me to go get my bag (something to hug on cos it was freezing cold!). ZJ was like a big mummy, help put most of us to slp. LOL.
Didn't have a good slp at all, cos woke up every 1 hour. Oh man, the next day felt like Dreamland to me. Even asked Jo and Maggie to slap or pinch me to make sure i'm not talking crap to them Lol. Very scared i'll blurt out crap. My mood was way bad also. Bad sleep = Bad mood. Everyone had a full breakfast b4 proceeding to a classroom to have a briefing and games. Prize presentation and break camp!
On my way home, met one of SPG's alumni (ah hao i think) on the mrt. Normally i'll be shy and ignore that person, but i think i'm not myself that day (in Dreamland rmb), so i talked to him. Thank god he recognised me sia, if not he will think i'm crazy. Anyway, he got off the next stop.
For me, it's HOME SWEET HOME. I LOVE MY BED!

found out, and i'm rushing history homework on the Abyissian Crisis about Italy and Abyssia going into war and that the League Of Nations cannot stop this from happening, and beacuse they are formed by means to stop war and
peace-keep the countries together, they have thus failed to achieve that. I think i tend to hold a class for history instead of telling you about me, i'm basically a what subject-realted lover (humanities) and thus
I am more analytical and critical about things, and likes to study about dead people, haha. lol. it's history what can you expect and also geography, it amazes me. I really like it alot, so what have you? Again to find this answer

it's amazing. amzing how people change the way of things, like how I used to hate outdoors in Band
felt it was a complete waste of time, i've acquired to like it more, i guess people change, their thereotical means and applications in life just goes on into a new direction, and see things in another perspective, i guess- it's
all in the mind. It really amazes me how these comes into action, from someone so pessimistic has changed his own view of things, and thus my friend is scoring much better, being more optimisitc and not think of his old way of suicidal
thoughts, which are pretty daunting. and thus we need to see things, in another light, another perspective and another new way, to enable us to open up our minds, and make more new things, the new way it is.
