Long time no see... / Wednesday, September 17, 2008
Since i last stopped work last Fri, my life is coming back. I'm slacking right now, but at the same time also hunting for another job. Here's what happened in on Sun, Mon, Tue, and today Wed.
Sun- Shoppin with Yixin and Yuling + Celebrate Mooncake Festival with family
Yixin and i had lunch at Thai Express. I chose the place cos i thought the ambience was nice. Yixin ate the thai pineapple fried rice while me had blackpepper chicken rice. Hot until my face red.
oh well.
Miss the girls.
Too bad shar and yan xing cant come to join us, if not the clique would be complete.
Next time will have chance!
It was raining like crap lah. Spoil the festive mood. My family's dinner plan to east coast park was almost cancelled. But i insisted on going the (tsk tsk), so at last we went to east coast lagoon that hawker centre there to eat.

It was quite ridiculous lah. Had to carry umbrella when want to move to our seat in the hawker centre, but later we found a seat in the shelter. We ordered a lot of food! Shiokness! Sambal stingray, bbq chicken wings, gong gong, fried carrot cake, rojak, kang kong with sotong. I looked pretty retarded sheltering my carrot cake to my seat with an umbrella :(
Cos its raining, i cannot let blackie down to walk cos wait his paws dirty or get infection. So we made him wear his little harness and carried him all the way to the seaside benches.
We lighted candles there. No lanterns. Sad case. i think candles more fun haha. My father also brought his fishing rod, just try try the waters there.
I basically spent the rest of the time going crazy over taking pic of fire.

Mon- Went interview at Dunlop St, Little India
Had a job interview there as bartender cum server. Was really interested cos i had f&b experience b4. And i also wanted to try bartendering out. Sounds really fun. Went there, had great difficulty finding the place. Somemore its like 7.30 in the night. The guy told me to come for interview b4 8pm mah, so as the last-minute type that i am, i reached at 8.05pm. Had to call the guy at the traffic junction to wait for me a while haha.
I took bus 147, but dunno where to get down. Thank god for 2 nice ladies. They dunno where's sim lim tower (where i should get down) also, but they suddenly saw it when the bus just about to leave that bus stop, so they tell me faster get down. The situation damn embarrassing lah.
Since its at night alr, the streets of little india sure filled with indians right. I quite scared lah of course. Asked for the dunlop st from an old uncle, then asked a bar waiter again where exactly the unit is. At last found my way to a tapas bar named Zsofy. Saw a bunch of ang mos and 1 chinese among them in the bar. The only customers there. The bartenders are one young girl and boy. Fill in the form, then the guy interview me. When come to the age, he ask if im 18 alr. I said 18 this yr. But im not exactly 18. So... blxxdy hell, he rejected me. They not only hiring server, so i have to be strictly 18. Sucks! Kinda wasted my trip there lah.
But logically thinking, i may not want that job in that area afterall. Bar opening hours are like till am one, and staff taxi fare may not be covered. And that area quite dangerous if u know wad i mean. So..
I walked around that area after being rejected. Went into this art and indian handicraft shop. Im always intrigued by these kind of things lah. At last bought a necklace at $7. Happy..
Tue- Job hunt with joniece. Met hs to shop for shoes.
Joniece chio me the day b4 to acc her for job interview. More like a talk for some tutoring agency. So it was at outram Pearl's Centre. Super ulu place. The place is also a residential place. Both of us were like quite scared lah. So when jo called the guy to open the door for us, we went to hide at the stairs there, so that we can see who opens the door.
It was a middle age uncle. He asked us to go in to fill up a form. The place is like a hdb flat, only more cluttered and yellow. Lucky this job is work from home one. After that the guy gave us a very long talk on what the business is like. Sounds attractive to me cos i can work from home anytime i want, assigning tutors to parents, and one assgmt is like $100+. But i don like to trust this kinda thing.
After outram, jo accm me to harbourfront vivo city to job hunt. When we came up the escalators inside, the first thing i saw was starbucks, so i very randomly went for a job interview. I went in. Saw all the staff are malay. Mmm.. Went ahead anw. The filipino store mger interviewed me, then halfway he had to attend to sth. Guess wad. He make me wait for more than 45 min. can u believe it. An interview taking more than 45min. Lucky there got magazines, so i took Torque to read. The ppl there are nice. Got 2 malay guys said hi and intro themselves. Very friendly. One of them offered me a drink, cos they paiseh make me wait too long. i dun want. After a while he insist and put the drink in front of me. crap la. so ke qi.
I thought i got quite a gd chance of working there cos the schedule i gave them is seriously veyr easy to take advantage of. I wrote im available 7days per wk, 9am to 11pm. hahaha. the guy some more ask if i can work when sch reopens. I picked wkends halfday. He was like You sure? You sure? Whatever. In the end, i waited for his call till at night, no reply. Im starting to wonder whether starbucks has a policy of hiring only malays...?
After harbour front, i went home first. Gotta meet hong siew in the evening to shop for shoes with her. Im damn tired can. Went home i just stared at Blackie. Blackie stare at me. haha too tired to do anything. In the evening,we bought the shoes, after that we sat at the old ppl's corner to chat. We looked quite unglam ok. Lol, but we dun really care. Wa.. been long since we chatted like that. Chatted from 6 till around 10 plus. Oh. i also secretly too pics of a guy with a funny pose. hey, normally i dun make fun of ppl like that ok, but he pissed us off lah, keep smoking. stinks lah. Happy shitting and smoking.
Wed- Shopping with AQ & HS, watch AQ bf jam, Mandarin hotel interview.
Met hong siew and an qi to shop today. Justi cant join us cos she's havin exams. Her second last paper. We first went to harbour front cos i gotta collect the photos that i developed ytd. Stupid me lah, go all the way there to develop. Went candy empire and slurged on some chocs and gummies. Went harbourfront centre's food juntion to have our lunch. Nice yee mian! hs and i eat until cannot take in anymore. Went to sky garden and took some pics. Went to the pet shop in vivo. I realise that i have to pity the shopkeepers there, cos everyday they have to tahan the "omg sooo cuuuuute" from the girls customers. tsk.

After that we went to Bugis street to shop for bags. We bought friendship bands at $1 only. After buying we were fiddling with it, trying to adjust it on our own. went og. nothing much there. i thought the bags there were nice, but the 2 say the bags very auntie :( lol fine lo... Walked to arab street one of the shophouses to watch aq'a bf and his band jam. Quite cool and rock lah. But hs and i go there quite awkward. Lucky her bf very friendly and nice. Then someone hor.... halfway keep saying the drummer very cute. Hahaha damn funny sia! you know who u are.. We left in like 20 min, cos hs gotta go to sch to [get this] play basketball and mahjong. haha! i also got a job interview at mandarin hotel at 5.30pm.
Aq accm me to mandarin hotel, and i managed to urge her to fill in the form with me! The jap guy, who's supposedly the manager there was reluctant to hire both of us. But can see he's trying to fit both of us in. So, on sat we both will start work. Have to go shop for white long sleeve shirt and black shoes. omg. the view from the restaurant is so beautiful. You can see the singapore river, the financial buildings and fullerton hotel. Would be a nice place to work at. I'm worried that at the end of Sat, the guy will have to decide which one of us to work. He says there's no time for training so have to see our performance, whether have the basic service standards.
After the interview, aq decided not to take the job cos she got projects to rush. So guess she'll call her friend, a guy, to come work with me. Diao. Will be awkward sia.. lol. And aq also said that guy is very high about restaurant jobs, got loads of experience. Wa... i feel threatened leh. haha Wait the jap manager accept him and not me, i'll be damn sad :( Nvm, see how it goes.

We know life's hard, truth is hard, lies are hard, they are all hard to accept when they have been
found out, and i'm rushing history homework on the Abyissian Crisis about Italy and Abyssia going into war and that the League Of Nations cannot stop this from happening, and beacuse they are formed by means to stop war and
peace-keep the countries together, they have thus failed to achieve that. I think i tend to hold a class for history instead of telling you about me, i'm basically a what subject-realted lover (humanities) and thus
I am more analytical and critical about things, and likes to study about dead people, haha. lol. it's history what can you expect and also geography, it amazes me. I really like it alot, so what have you? Again to find this answer

it's amazing. amzing how people change the way of things, like how I used to hate outdoors in Band
felt it was a complete waste of time, i've acquired to like it more, i guess people change, their thereotical means and applications in life just goes on into a new direction, and see things in another perspective, i guess- it's
all in the mind. It really amazes me how these comes into action, from someone so pessimistic has changed his own view of things, and thus my friend is scoring much better, being more optimisitc and not think of his old way of suicidal
thoughts, which are pretty daunting. and thus we need to see things, in another light, another perspective and another new way, to enable us to open up our minds, and make more new things, the new way it is.
